BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in Leeds
I am a mental health nurse who had over 30 years’ experience working for the NHS and is fully accredited by the BABCP to provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am also qualified to provide supervision for CBT trainees or therapists.
I take an integrative-based approach towards Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This means I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify their negative behaviours and patterns. Together, we shall develop methods to aid change.
There is no single approach that works for everyone, but I do emphasise the importance of formulation-driven CBT, using researched models with a clinical evidence base. I also place great importance on the individual at the centre of the therapy.
